Thirteen of us for the first walk of 2023
The weather was sunny, but quite cold to start
It was lovely to meet up and walk again after a two week break for Christmas and New Year
It was particularly nice to see Ali and Farezh after their extended holiday
Walking in the sun soon warmed us up and layers were removed
The “pipeline path” looked very attractive in the sun
I was a little concerned about the rough track, but everyone managed ok
We are always open to any excuse to stop and take photographs
Including this attractive, but no longer used, “mini farm shop”
We had our “banana stop” just outside Parcent
Ali and Farezh supplemented our sweet distribution with tasty dates from their holiday
We set off again after a short break
But took another break to admire this friendly “wild boar”
By now it was quite warm and very pleasant walking through the valley
Our last distraction was these two cats enjoying the midday sun
It took us a little longer than expected to reach Alcalali
But no one was in any hurry to finish our enjoyable walk
Despite the “sting in the tail” climb into the village
Where we had a very pleasant drink in the square
And admired the preparations for “Three Kings”
Temperature – 15c
Time taken – 3.5 hours
Distance – 10km
