Fifteen of us for today’s walk
It was chilly at the start
But it soon warmed up to a pleasant 19c
Victoria joined us for her first walk today
Also Marlies from our Monday group
We were pleasantly surprised to have to give way to a herd of sheep
The shepherd was less pleased and told us we were on the wrong track
He was right; we use this track because the official path is in terrible condition after serious rain damage many years ago
This walk is half of last Monday’s Orba Castle
So it was very familiar to Alan and Ali who had also done the Monday walk
The abandoned restaurant has now been fenced off
And there appears to be someone living in the house
But no sign of any work on the main restaurant itself
It felt much warmer than the official 19c on the way back
Though a cool breeze stopped us over heating
The warm spring weather seemed set to continue
With no rain forecast for the next week at least
No doubt the gardeners will be complaining soon
We spent almost two hours in the Parcent cooperativa
What better way to finish a pleasant walk than a long, cold drink in good company
Temperature – 10-19c
Time taken – 3 hours
Distance – 9 km
