23 on today’s walk
This included Phil and Thelma who are guests of Annie and Colin
This is the first time we started a walk in Murla
We did so because Joke had invited us to her new house for drinks after he walk
We usually do this walk the other way around
So the track was not a problem
I cut my hand quite badly breaking a bamboo to clear the path
The plasters in my first aid cut were not sufficient to stop the bleeding
Fortunately the route passed close to our house
So I went home and bound the cut with tape
And arrived back with the group just as Jan was distributing sweets
Despite my medical emergency we were still well within time
And could stick to the original route
The weather was much more pleasant today
With no sign of the recent high humidity
However the river was high due to the recent heavy rain
But we all crossed, some with a little help
We arrived back in Murla square just 5 minutes late than planned
Terry then led us to Joke’s house, just 10 minutes away
Joke was well prepared for her 23 guests
Plenty of cold drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic
But best of all ice lollies for one and all
A big thank you to Joke for coping so well with an unusually large group
Temperature – 18 to 26c
Time taken – 3 hours
Distance – 9 km
