We almost cancelled today’s walk due to weather forecast
40% chance of rain and even a red storm warning
Glad we didn’t because it turned out sunny and not a drop of rain
There was however some deep puddles due to heavy overnight rain
Only ten of us today for a variety of reasons
Quite a contrast to 19 on Monday
It was overcast when we started the walk
But by the time we reached our banana stop on the river it was sunny and blue sky
Everything fresh and sparkling in the sunshine
For most of the group this is the first time they have done this walk
So surprised by the overgrown track on the return journey
But everyone was pleased to be out walking
Rather than sitting at home regretting that the walk had been cancelled
It is always nice to have a smaller group
We find that everyone mixes much better
And no one is left out of the chatter
Back on the main track it was a pleasant ramble back to Lliber
And the pace increased as we got nearer to the bar and the end of the walk
And a well deserved drink in our favourite square in the valley
A lovely walk on a day when we expected to be stuck indoors looking out at the rain
Temperature – 14-26c
Time taken – 3 hours
Distance – 9 km
