16 February 2023 – Jalon Valley Circular

Ten of us for today’s walk

This included three new members

Julie and Don are on holiday from the UK

Ann is a resident

This walk is one of three from Jalon to Alcalali

First to Alcalali Ermita, where we had our banana stop

Then up to the pipelines

Turn left and back to Jalon

We always find time to stop and make a fuss of friendly animals

And today we did so more than usual

First two particularly friendly dogs

Then two donkeys who appreciated Dirk’s apple

And finally one small dog who wagged his tail in circles

We had to cancel last week’s walk due to heavy rain

So we were all determined to walk despite a forecast of dry but overcast

Fortunately it was wrong, and we had sun for the whole return journey

 As always there was lots of chatter and banter

And I am sure that everyone enjoyed themselves

 We choose RiuRau for our drinks because it was the best sun trap

 

 And it was so pleasant that no one wanted to go home
