17 on todays walk
This included a new member Peter
Plus Deb and Phil who last walked with us in October 2021
It was quite chilly when we met in Jalon
But warm and comfortable when we reached the Alcalali Ermita
Barry had prepared conkers to demonstrate to Dirk how the game works
He also insisted I have a go, just so that he could beat me
It was so pleasant at the Ermita that we extended our banana stop to 20 minutes
And I think everyone would have been happy to remain even longer
But Barry was watching the time, and I had to finish the walk by 1200
By now it was much warmer, and we had the road climb ahead of us
This part is very exposed and hot, even with a cool breeze
So we welcomed a little shade to have a short water stop
And, of course, an opportunity to have a natter
Plus admire these two beauties
Then off up the hill towards the pipeline
With another water stop and group photo
The walk back to Jalon is all downhill
Including this lovely shaded section
Now that the group is so large choosing the right bar is a problem
Particularly prefer to have a long table so all can sit together
Fortunately bar Claudia allowed us all to sit upstairs on their balacony
Providing that we paid for our drinks at the bar
And brought the empties down when we left
A reasonable compromise which makes everyone happy
